We cannot run our programs without the help of parents and volunteers.  Please consider where you might be able to help out.   We ask that all parents try to find a way to pitch in.  It helps us greatly, and lets the kids see how much you too value their religious education and your parish family. 
 
Catechist
Teaches a preplanned classroom lesson created by the director, based on the year’s theme and/or religious events calendar.  ex:  Advent, Lent, Easter…  
Must attend Mass on a regular basis. 
Several opportunities are available to the catechist for training.
 
 
Sacramental Preparation Catechist
Help prepare children to receive their sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist. 
Teacher must have knowledge of the sacrament to be taught, attend Mass regularly, and be available for all (or most) classes and must attend actual celebration of the sacrament. 
Special training will be provided if needed as well as a catechist training session you will be asked to attend.
